Apartaments from 60€/night
Shortly after opening our first house (La Casa de l’Almudí) we received the Top Rural Video First Prize with this minimalist creation that was presented at FITUR.
Since then it has rained a lot and we have dared with other formats, such as the first webseries made in the Matarranya, “Livingstone”. A transmedia production that mixes reality and fiction; an original way to present some of the charms of our region. We invite you to visit our YouTube channel.
We have five apartments of various sizes and styles, distributed in two houses. And, also, a farm dedicated to experiences related to ecotourism.
Two rivers, the Algás and Matarraña –considered among the least contaminated of the mediterranean Europe, extensive fields with olive trees, almond trees and vines, the forest of oaks, pines, boxwood, maple and juniper, and the rocky mountains, form a landscape rich in biodiversity and a pleasure for the senses.
Calaceite, stone and inspiration
The energy of the stone in its various forms is the protagonist in the village and in their silent places. Captivated by the beauty of the place, artists from several countries chose it as a residence. The solemn architecture, with prominent stone mansions, baroque buildings, like the church, and Gothic and Moorish windows, served in 1976 to declare the old part of the town “Conjunto Histórico-Artístico” by the spanish Ministry of Culture.
We start the year with the Santantonada, agricultural winter solstice festival, whose original aim was to revive the Sun in order to procure a good year in the field. We continue with the popular spring festival of Santa Ana, with its acclaimed traditional games. Special mention deserves the Fiesta Mayor, in midsummer, attracting locals and visitors in its multiple acts.
Into the wild
There is nothing better than a bath in the nature when the mediterranean summer gets hot. Crystalline waters that are born from the rocks of Els Ports de Beseit.
